SPEAKER_01

There's a guy in Richmond, Virginia named King Nutt. You could pull off several firsts and a second and maybe a fifth and a seventh because you've got that much invested in. He ended up on the radio now and then talking sports. What happened on Saturday is not gonna happen on Sunday, just like what happened on Friday night doesn't happen on Saturday. He's even got good life advice.

SPEAKER_00

If you slap your wife, you're going to jail. With this kind of talent, he needs a sidekick. We'll call him Fabio. And I like the way you're talking. With cell phone in hand, he's a sports talk freak show.

SPEAKER_03

How are they gonna be able to bond as a team? And that defense hasn't proven anything. They're gonna be able to put up a ton of points, possibly, but how many are they gonna give up?

SPEAKER_00

But then along comes another sports talk know it all.

SPEAKER_04

They had every opportunity to win that game.

SPEAKER_00

His name is Rodney.

SPEAKER_04

Especially if they get home field advantage. Only got to win two games.

SPEAKER_00

He uh also sponsors the show. World-class talent like this shouldn't go to waste. So the next step, come up with a podcast with a stupid name. Don't drop the soap sports. Don't drop the soap sports. Wow. From the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia, this is the Don't Drop the Soap Sports Podcast. Here's the host, King Nutt, and the other host, Fabio.

SPEAKER_02

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us for another episode of Don't Drop the Soap Sports, where I just read we're the 44th ranked podcast in Richmond, Virginia. So how about that? Uh please make sure that you're sharing with your friends here. We got friends all over the country listening, but want to make sure that we can do it everywhere. We are being brought to you by Rodney Co. Insurance Agency. Rodney CoinsuranceAgency.com or 8045696208. Uh he's a really, really nice guy. Staff's really, really better than he is, but he underwrites for about 16, 18 companies can save you money every which way you look at it. Really good staff. Give them a call, talk some shop, they'll get you some uh good quotes on your insurance, as well as another former good place. It has Judith Lane as an address, but it is actually on Route 301 in Mechanics. Game Day Grill at 804-789-8005. They have something going on every day. Wing Wednesday is my favorite with a couple cold shock tops. They have trivia night on Thursday, a lot going on there. However, Rodney himself is not on the show today because he's cruising. So I have Fabio leaves for a month on a cruise. Rodney leaves for a couple weeks on a cruise. Who the hell is signifying when I will get to go cruise?

SPEAKER_04

You'll have to talk to the boss. And she's probably not up yet, right? No, she gets up before.

SPEAKER_02

She's up and at it. Oh, dude, she's already cleaned a house twice. Uh maybe. Well, you've probably messed it up three times. Yeah, well, I have. That and that dumbass cat that comes here and lays on my feet while I'm doing this show right now. Could care less about me at any time unless it's time to eat or I'm recording this show, then he wants to come sit on my feet and think that's perfect. But uh anyway, good weekend for you.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, real good weekend. Uh yeah, nice weather finally broke. Hit almost 90 yesterday, so it's it's going straight to summer. It's skipping spring this year, it looks like.

SPEAKER_02

Next week we're not playing, it'll be 85 again. All right, let's get right into it. We're gonna do three little segments. First off, I want to get this out of the way and we'll close with the the uh NCAA and have race in between, but I want to talk about the only kind of real movement since we taped last was the Waddle trade to Denver. I think it was for a one and they're exchanging four or three, a one or three and they're exchanging fours, which probably means Denver is gonna move up on the fourth round of pick because Miami's gonna be horrible. First off, who won that trade, in your opinion?

SPEAKER_04

Anyone that's getting traded out of Miami's winning that. So Jalen Waddle won that trade. Denver needed a true one. They have a lot of complimentary receivers, I think, will now be able to play their role that they should, and Jalen Waddle will become a true number one for them. Miami's just unloading everything. I think the only thing they have left is uh HN, the running back, and I feel bad. I hope he gets out of there. But uh it's a complete rebuild in Miami, so uh anybody that can get out is winning.

SPEAKER_02

But that damn tax rate, that that's a win. If you're gonna be a pro athlete, if you're not gonna win a championship, you might as well save your money. That's what I was asking about Mike Evans. So uh Denver looks like they may all in. Like they were close enough with what they had until the quarterback was hurt. So Denver's all in saying they probably were receiver. They got Sutton. I don't know that Waddle is he a one? Is he a one B? Is he is Sutton the one? I what's what's happening?

SPEAKER_04

I think he'll be the closest thing to a one they have. Sutton's he's just inconsistent. I think Waddle with uh consistent quarterback play will will be a whole lot better professional than he was in Miami. When he was on, he was really good, but he wasn't on a lot. So uh I think uh Bo Nicks is accurate. I think he'll get uh Waddle into a lot of those screen passes and a lot of those crossing patterns that he and then his speed will take over. I think he'll he's not a high-end number one. I mean, he's not he's not a Randy Moss, obviously, but he's he's a low end number one is what I would think he is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. He's uh a little bit behind DK Metcalf, a little bit better than Zay Flowers. Yeah, I that's a good spot to put him. Is Bonex gonna be a guy we look back over time and say, damn, we had that wrong?

SPEAKER_04

I don't think we are. I think um I think it's a very good system quarterback. I don't think he's gonna ever be a damn, we missed we missed that one. He'll be a very forgettable quarterback, I believe, at when it's all all said and done. Staying healthy is gonna be a problem. He's not he's not he is mobile, but he's not mobile enough not to take all the shots that he's gonna take. I think he's uh a mid-tier quarterback at best.

SPEAKER_02

Now, uh before we move off of it, what does that do to the trade value of AJ Brown if Waddle just brought a first, a third, and a swap of force? And who? Who's willing to pay? Because it's now that the stakes are up now.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know if he's worth that. I don't know if what he brings to the table. His talent's worth it, but I don't know if his attitude and uh this the disruption that he brings on not only on the sideline, but in the locker room with that. I don't see a team unless unless it is a type of a Denver team that thinks they're one move away from getting there. But I would have thought it would be somebody like Buffalo, which obviously now doesn't need it. I don't know who would want that right now in their locker room. I think he's a cancer on the team, and I think Philadelphia is starting to see that. Or they I think they've seen it for a while. Just uh the cap hit would have been just too much to do something about it earlier than that. Maybe trading back to Tennessee and see what happens there.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know, the the suit the biggest suitor I heard was the Patriots. And that if you think Bo Nicks just got better because he got Waddle, how much better does May get, who I think is a way better quarterback than Knicks with AJ Brown. The problem is, even though the Patriots got the money, the capital for them, their line needs to be rebuilt. And the only way you rebuild that line, there's not a lot of great free agents available, so they gotta draft it.

unknown

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

And those draft picks are gonna mean something. Now the reason I say that, as you all might can imagine, as you listen, I have a lot of OCD similar tendencies. One of them is I do this draft simulator every day. I I'll do two drafts for the Steelers. And uh in this this PFF draft, uh there's trades available, and I'll tell you all the time there are three teams, and this is done by this generated info they put in there. There are three teams that are actively trying to trade with me during the draft every day. The Patriots are one, the Broncos are another, and the Ravens are the other. I do get a random Tennessee or Philadelphia or Miami or something, but but the team so it tells me those teams have needs that they know that the draft can fill, and that that's what it is. So oftentimes if I accept that first round trade with New England move back to their spot, they take the guard out of Penn State, the one that I would take anyway if I left if I stayed there, right? Denver takes a tackle and they also take a lot of stuff stuff like an edge rusher and things like that. So I look for New England maybe to get in this AJ Brown thing, but I don't know. You have to wait to see and what the value is. Denver went at it and got it. I don't think anybody's gone to the Eagles with something that says, hey, we gotta have this guy, and here's the farm to get him. Do you?

SPEAKER_04

No, I don't, or I think they'd already moved off of him. So they're probably holding out for something that's not going to be offered, is what I would I believe at the end of the day. I believe he'll be an Eagle next year and uh be unhappy like he was last year.

SPEAKER_02

All right, quickly before we go to basketball, NASCAR yesterday. I told you pre-call here that I was uh on fire with my pick pick six. I was up to seven grand, like a hundred and eighth place, loved it, continued washing the challenger uh to put it back in the garage and come back inside, and I fell from you know 108th place to 17,000 and something off some some wrecks. So I should never look at that track. Well I should just wait to the end and see. I I donate twenty dollars, I get it back. That track, I heard Richard Petty say, before Daytona became the track, Darlington was the track. Uh it's the one that's the toughest, I think, to drive. Uh you know, they may say Dover's too tough to tame and and Bristol the but just the way the shape of Darlington with it tightening up out of one of those paperclips, and then and it it's always you lose your focus for a second, you're in the wall. Uh was the race yesterday as good as the races in the past, you thought?

SPEAKER_04

I thought what made it interesting was the trials and tribulations that Tyler Reddick had to go through that made made that race. He he said on the pole was by far the fastest car, and 50 laps into the race, he's in he's into the garage. I mean not the garage, he's in on pit road changing the battery out. Uh no cool suit. Uh you saw him purging the cool suit. Because if you leave that liquid and that it's a vest that runs cool water through throughout your chest, if you leave that water in there, it actually starts to boil. So he had to purge that cool suit, starts in the back, and by far had the fastest car, but really methodically worked his way up through it. Um all the bad stuff that would happen and running inches from the wall. He's finished second there, I think, three times coming into this race and got it done yesterday. I'm usually the person that jumps on the bandwagon last. He's he's won four races out of six already this year. Uh looks like he's definitely a title contender. Seems like he has great rapport with his team. Michael Jordan's there every week watching him win. I think we're watching a young man that was a good race car driver develop into a superstar right here in front of our eyes here this year. But good race. Uh some people I thought would contend uh did not. Still have problems with Chase Briscoe getting uh his qualifying correct. Took him all day to get to the front, and then uh there in the last stint uh burnt the tires off the car. Uh somebody that did impress me, uh you either you either love this kid or you hate this kid, is uh Kosin Hosevar. Crashed during qualifying, had to go in and change some uh tie rods on his car and started dead last and worked his way up to fourth. So someone like that's really good for the the sport. He's the next Kyle Bush. He could be the next Kyle Bush. He's the guy people are gonna hate. Yeah, they hate him. Yeah, he took Ross Chastain's place because Ross was like that for a couple years. Now they've kind of moved past him. This is the newest kid that you hate. Uh he's fast every single week. And and he's in inspire motorsports cars, so he's not has all the money that the Hendrick cars have. And Hendrick is the organization right now that's struggling. No wins. I think it's the longest and a I couldn't tell you how long that they didn't have a win in the first couple races. But they are going to a track where Hendrick Motorsports has dominated in the past. So we're going to Martinsville this weekend. I would think that you would see William Byron up front in that, but I think you'll have to fight the hometown kid, uh, your hero, Denny Hamlin, uh, for that win.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Well, my hero.

SPEAKER_02

I know, right? Sean Payton, Denny Hamlin's on the same group there. They're the same guy. I got I got one NASCAR question before we go to basketball, and you gave me a great prelude, but so I'm gonna go back and grab it. But one last question. So they suspended, you know, Dodge came back into the series, truck series with five Rams. One of them's already been suspended for saying something idiotic on a live. I I don't that's why you do what I do, people. You just sit behind a mic. By the way, I did lay, I had an episode last night on Facebook where I said something about Mark Warner, one of our senders. Uh appears every time he comes onto Facebook and posts a video he's been drinking or something. They trunk this derange syndrome, doesn't matter which side, it's in it's real. And I had a guy, I said, Hey buddy, take one more drink and calm down. And the guy replied, Are you an inbred? So I said, But well, of course I am, because my people are all inbreds, right? You just don't understand. I'm like, man, paint your fing hair and go somewhere else. What the f just is this what you do? Uh and so this dumbass comes out and says something stupid on a car like that. Now that the that's this is my question, though, for you. Those cars are being built in a shop adjacent to Richard Childress's shop. So their Bush cars or Xfinity or whatever the hell we call it now are O'Reilly, are all Chevrolets, but their trucks have switched over to Dodge's. Dodge looks like they've probably got the prototype with that car in that'll be expected, probably going to get announced sometime around Michigan. They like to announce that shit. Last time Dodge came in, it was in Michigan around that time. What teams do you see the opportunity to move away from another manufacturer to Dodge?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, the Richard Petty team with the Jimmy Johnson, I see that being a legacy motor sports. Legacy, thank you. I see that being an option. And maybe somebody like Aspire Motorsports that needs more money. Uh that's a three-team operation, not real big, but they're very consistent, have have been fast this year. I I see teams like that, you know, you're not gonna get the Joe Gibbs, you're not gonna get the Hendricks. So you're gonna have to go pick off the smaller teams and hope you make an impact, just like Dodge did the first time. I mean, they they made a big impact.

SPEAKER_02

They had um, well, when they had Penske, they won the championship with Penske and then pulled out of sport because Penske was going back to Ford. So if we say Penske stays at Ford, Hendrick clearly is a Chevrolet guy, Gibbs is your Toyota guy. Is Richard Childress they're building them in the same shop. There's got to be something to that. Is he ready to come back with Dodge? Because after Earnhardt's secondary, he was secondary to Chevrolet behind even Gibbs, when Gibbs was Chevrolet, he had passed it was Hendrick and Gibbs and then Childress.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I can see them doing it. He's been with that Chevrolet for so long. It would that would be a big shock.

SPEAKER_02

You remember, I don't know if you were at that event, but he was at one of the Hope for the Warriors events, and I had a chance to sit and talk to him. Really nice guy, but he's just about like he interviews, he's very reserved. And I asked him about the rumors back then, that was 2011, I think, about him going to Dodge then, and he told me it was awfully close. I mean, back then. So I don't know what happened, but it was awfully close. Let me switch out uh into basketball, but there's something that you said. You and I, both Carolina fans, that damn Rodney. I hope he's enjoying his Disney. He's at the park, I think, and then he's cruising. But it it's uh Rodney Coinsurance Agency, Rodney CoinsuranceAC.com at 804-569-6208. Give him a call. In fact, I should give you a cell phone. Call him while he's on his damn cruise. I want I want I'm I'm getting pissed about this cruise thing. Uh, you went around like Columbus through the whole hemisphere, and uh Rodney's now going with Mickey Mouse somewhere. Game Day Grill also is a test 789-8005. That's on Route 301 here, McCain, so it's an 804 number. You said something in NASCAR that I'm now gonna limp to basketball. You and I both Carolina fans, Rodney's a Duke fan. I wouldn't again and I love the guy. This is not a Mike Tomlin statement. I I like Hubert Davis. I've always thought that the guy was I don't want anybody to think Tomlin's not, but it you could really see Hubert Davis as a human being and a coach of young men. I I thought he was a a very he looks like a fine upstanding man. I heard he was walking back from Greenville to Chapel Hill and somebody picked him up. That's how I'm sure he's out of a job, whether it's resigning or stepping back. But you said Michael Jordan's at every race, and it was told to me uh from some Carolina insider guys that they think Jordan was the reason Hubert had the d the job to begin with. He took a team to Final Four, wasn't that good, and he's had some good teams that took early exits, one didn't even make it. What's the story with Hubert? What are they gonna do there?

SPEAKER_04

I think you'll see Hubert step down. I I they don't want to I don't think they want to fire somebody that that played for him unless it that's the last resort if he says, hey, I'm not I'm not gonna I'm not gonna do it. I think you will see him step down. He could have survived them losing the game, but he couldn't survive the way they lost that game. You can't have a 19-point lead and just piss it away and end the game and kind of look like he didn't know what he was doing. I mean, he would have been better off just putting in those five players he never plays. At least they were going to give more effort and hopefully they can make a free throw. Because that's what it boils down to. We can't ever make a free throw. And when he's asked about it, well, we practice it.

SPEAKER_02

Well evidently not enough. Yeah, I I I practice a lot of things too, but uh, I'm not very good at them. Who who's next though? Who do you on that bench? I mean, I you got Lebo, you got a lot of people on that bench have been there a while, or do they go outside the family, which is something they very rarely or have never done for that matter?

SPEAKER_04

I think they're going outside of the Flor the coach for Florida has been mentioned several, several, several times. I don't know if that's who it's gonna be. Um I heard Tyler Hansborough's name come up. I just don't think he's ready for that. Todd Golden would be the leading candidate if I had to guess right now. I think it'll all depend on how much money is it, you know, because Florida and Carolina, I I hate to say it, but it's probably not a lot of difference in uh the attractiveness of those two jobs right now. It's not like it used to be at Carolina.

SPEAKER_02

No income to state income in Florida. I bring that up all the time. What the hell would you do? And it's true. And listen, let me tell you, I'm gonna flip it to another coach. VCU came back from 19. I'm a Carolina fan. I was pulling for VCU because I didn't think Carolina had it to go any deeper anyway, so sh VCU might as well win. But I did get pissed when they were up 19 and blew it. I I was okay if VCU would have just beat them by seven and it was a tight game, and you know, but the up nineteen, it's unacceptable. Phil Martelli Jr., the coach at VCU. Now I'm I'm gonna say this, folks, and it'll go through quickly. Each one of these VCU guys thinks they want another bigger, better job, and then they go get fired. Started with Capel, he went here, went to Oklahoma, out. And then you got Grant. Well, you Grant came here and he goes to Alabama and he's now at Dayton. Shaka goes to Texas, he's out, he's at Marquette. By the way, a team didn't even qualify for the NIT, I don't think. Doesn't matter. Will Wade goes to LSU and gets Shakan because he's cheating. And then you the kid that roads that went to was last year, he's at Penn State. Hell he could be out. Phil Martelli Jr. Who I when his dad would coach at St. Joe's and I'd watch VCU play him again, he was a dynamite coach this weekend. He got a technical because Illinois at one point had shot seventeen free throws to none for VCU. Now, Illinois does lead the country in rebound gap and uh free throws attempted gap to their opponent. I get it, but seventeen to nothing ain't a f gap. Pardon my French. Seventeen to nothing's sh the officiating. And when Martel lost his sh and got that technical, that coach went up 40 levels in my eyes at that point. He's not gonna sit around and take sh his kids weren't playing well. He needed some that's what a coach does. Those kids are the one, and I hope he stays at VCU because you're a god. There's no football here. Just get him to the tournament every year, build a good mid-major program, win a couple tournaments games, you can stay here forever. Now I know nobody wants to do that. People want to grow and bigger, better, faster, stronger, whatever. I want to flip it from that before we get into a few of the games because Florida's out. How shitty it doesn't matter if it's football, but this officiating, the UCLA game, we're texting about it. The officiating in this this that's shitty. For what they're paid, for the love of Pete, man. We may as well let the camera officiate these things.

SPEAKER_04

It's that in every sport right now, though. I mean, NFL, we we bitched and complained about how bad the bad it was. Have I literally heard hands slapping arms yesterday? On the camera. You can hear it on a microphone. No call. Yeah. No call. And then Calls that nobody gets touched. I don't know. It's almost like Ray Charles and Ronnie Milsapper out there doing the damn uh refereeing.

SPEAKER_01

When you see me in misery, come on, baby, see a brother.

SPEAKER_02

That's so this is a bad thing. I don't know how you feel. Well, I that's what I'm saying. At the lowest levels, people don't want to officiate anymore, even in kids. All I do is softball. I can't stand there smoking weed in the dugout. Uh they they know every rule and they're players. And and now it's not that I don't take any sh I don't want anybody to think I'm up here flexing. I'm just saying I don't take any sh. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like you you you want a man, uh I'm gonna I'm gonna toss you, and then if you're gonna tell me you can wait in the parking lot, you better be waiting with something or somebody else. It's just amazing. We have no respect for officials, and I think that's where it starts at the lower levels. Those people don't want to grow because they we get lost. They don't want to do it because of the sh they catch. But these guys are all professionals, they look great, they look the part, they know the rules and miss the call. I don't get it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and I don't know how you fix it other than Well, I get one or two misses. That's gonna happen. We're humans, but good Lord, there's more and more and more. At bigger times, I hate to keep bringing up the Carolina game, but Vessar got fouled, he got that fist slapped out of him at the very end of that game. He did. Uh, with no time left and no call. Yeah. I mean, they Carolina 100% deserved to lose that ball game after a collapse that they had. But they had they should have had two shots to win the game at the end of it, but didn't. So I guess I'm crying over spilled milk there, but it's just the blatant fouls that aren't being called. And then, like I said, the phantom calls like what? How that's not even there.

SPEAKER_02

Is there anybody on a run we're looking? Because you got a one that's gone down Florida. I had them winning it. I was looking for any way not to pick Duke. Arizona's good. It was the first time in a long time, all four number nines beat the eights, and then we had a nine win. Texas has stayed hot as an eleven a play-in game against NC State, a game I thought was pretty heated game on the play-in. They're still winning. Is there something about basketball outside of this dumbass transfer portal and NIL money that's changed? I I don't even know the players, but uh I had a one of my sons text me yesterday and says, Can I ask you a question? As an official, I said, sure. He said, Do we call walking anymore? Does that sh still exist?

SPEAKER_04

Walking and carrying does not exist any longer. Because when I was a kid, if you put your hand under the ball, it's going the other way, boys.

SPEAKER_02

And I know Naismith is probably rolling over in his grave because of what it's turned into. The European step doesn't mean five of them, I don't think.

SPEAKER_04

Evidently it does.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's it's insane. It's we're now down to 16. I thought last weekend, there's a couple of weekends in sports I love. The first, the second round of NFL, so after the wild card round's done, the divisional round I think is always very good. You got four in each conference that are vying to get to that championship. I always thought that that was a a very good weekend. And then this first weekend of basketball, because you got Sienna was close to taking Duke out. Yeah. They had him. They just went cold. Uh which is what happens a lot. There's a reason they're 16, reason Duke's number one. I think Shy is a very good, particularly on bench coach. He's a really good recruiter. I hate to give him credit, but he he also is his game skills are insane. He doesn't look like he gets he loses his composure. He he's really good about that. But I'll tell you a funny story. A buddy of a son took a bet,$25, I think it was, Siena minus eight for the first half. And it paid him$2,222 off that$25 bet.

SPEAKER_04

That's not a bad bet.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, now you're playing with house money, but I asked you. What is this smoke? And he said, I don't know what it is, but we must smoke. We need to smoke it too, because look what's happening.

SPEAKER_04

Pass that around.

SPEAKER_02

Hot dog. Is there anybody you see right now that's that's clearly, you know, we've had some tough, tough losses, some people that have barely won. UConn, again, with the use of that that thing is hurley's, both of them losing would help me out. You know. So anyway, is there anybody that you still think is a clear-cut favorite?

SPEAKER_04

I think Arizona's playing the best right now. And I like their path to the to the championship. I think a lot of these other ones are gonna have a hard time. Duke's gonna have a hard time with St. John. St. John's been playing really good. Michigan's gonna have their hands full with Alabama. I think that's gonna be a really good game, but I think um Arizona looks really solid. And Purdue. Purdue looks good. Yeah. Um, but if I had to pick one right now, I would say Arizona's the a little bit ahead of everyone else.

SPEAKER_02

Let's say uh next week when we get together, you'll have uh we'll be down to the four, right? Because you'll go seen the eight to four, yeah, and then we'll be able to pick it a little bit. Maybe something will happen in football. We got Martinsville coming up. Just wanted to catch you up. A appreciate the listeners here taking us up the rankings a little bit. If you uh go to our Facebook page at Don't Drop the Soap Sports, and you can send me a message there. And we'll uh if you want to send to Fabio, I'll pass a message along, or you can send us an email at Don't Drop the Soap Sports at gmail.com. We have been getting a couple emails about uh some comical things that maybe I've said that people think I was wrong or right. And but I don't give two sh. That's why we're here, that's why we call Don't Drop the Soap Sports. We're not beholden to anything, any view, any politics, anything. We're gonna call the truth the way the truth is. So, Fabio, before we go, long range out, who has gotten the best that you've seen so far with the activity and free agency?

I'm gonna have to say my Raiders have. I mean, it's the most that it's the most active we've been in I couldn't tell you how long, and addressed a lot of the defensive needs that we needed, uh, needed to address. We still need to address a wide receiver. Obviously, we have to address the quarterback position, but I'm excited about what they've done. I'm tickled to death that the Ravens uh said that Max Crosby couldn't pass that physical. He's gonna be fine. I think he's gonna be a stud like he has been the last couple years, but I love what they've done, uh especially on that offense uh defensive line and the linebacker group that they've gotten and good signings uh in the secondary. So I love what we've done. Now can we put it together? We'll see. Uh I like Kubiak being there, uh different mindset than what we've had. I think it's a team on the rise. I mean, we could win five games this year. Damn. You think? Maybe we get our shit together.

SPEAKER_02

I do too think the Raiders have been very good at this. I think the Vikings, this Kyler Murray thing, I think is going to be present an interesting season for them, particularly the quarterback whisperer. There's something to be said about some of those. I don't know what the Cowboys' end goal is with what they're signing, how they're signing, restructuring a lot of contracts to put money down the road that could end up costing them kind of Drew Breesish type sh from the Saints. I'll tell you the one that scares the shit out of me because we play them this year is the Carolina Panthers. They have been solid. I'll agree with that. Those those signings, and then you trade away the red rifle to uh Philly because you acquire Kenny Pickett from the Raiders. But I'll tell you this Young and Pickett play very similar games, so maybe if Young goes out and Pickett has to come in, it's it's a closer offense than it was with Dalton there. But I do think that the Panthers and the Raiders have been really active. The Vikings, I still don't know what the hell the Cardinals are doing with as they unload. But the country loves what the Jets are doing. I still don't they're sh they're gonna be shitty.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, they're be sh forever. They've been shell, they were shitty when they won Super Bowl three. Yeah, that's true. I mean, damn.

SPEAKER_02

That's such a great they were shitty in Super Bowl three. I love that.

SPEAKER_04

I got one quick thing for you, Brad.

SPEAKER_02

Give it to me.

SPEAKER_04

Whether you like it or not, the best golfer in the world right now is Scotty Scheffler. I know he's struggled a little bit, but by far the most entertaining golfer to watch, if you haven't watched him on the Live tournament, is Bryson D.Chambeau. He won his second tournament this weekend in a row. He hit a damn shot. I don't know if you saw it or not. He hit his drive wayward left. They're playing lift cleaning plays because they was playing in a swamp in South Africa basically. It had rained so much. This young man was 289 yards away, hits it on the green and wins the tournament against a relatively short knocker, I guess, now, John Rom, if you ever heard of him. Yeah, that big old son. Yeah. Couldn't get it there out of the middle of the fairway. So people love him or hate him. I think he's great for the game. I think it's phenomenal that Liv has gone to a 72 format for these guys to get world ranking points. I think DeChambeau will be something to be contend with at the Masters. Not saying he's going to win it, but he's going to make some noise and people are going to be there. I think in a personality like him, he he changed his brand through YouTube, through all those types of formats, and has become a very exciting player. He's always been good, but damn, he's exciting. He's what I wish Scotty Scheffler was. Because Scotty just goes out and normally just beats their ass and says thank you and takes his check and leaves. The way Bryson does, it's just entertaining for the game.

SPEAKER_02

I agree with that. I've watched it, and we'll get a little more into golf as we get to the match. I do still think Scheffler started slow, and there's been some, you know, to him, he just wants to play golf. DeChambeau turns it into a little more of the happy Gilmore, not in style, but the the flamboyant, you know, the make it a fun game. So we'll get a little more into golf next week, too, because we got the Masters coming up. What's that, the sixth and the seventh or the finals?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's right around there.

SPEAKER_02
